The 9-4 Longhorns have been selected to face the Georgia Bulldogs in New Orleans on January 1st in the Sugar Bowl.
This is the 55th appearance for the Longhorns in a bowl game. The second highest number in NCAA history.
The 11-2 Bulldogs are ranked #5 in the country and just lost a close game to Alabama in the SEC title game. Georgia will be heavily favored, but bowl games are often determined by which team wants to be there.
