Second-ranked Texas wrapped up its nonconference volleyball schedule with a four-set victory (25-22, 25-27, 25-23, 25-19) over New Mexico State on Saturday at the Wildcat Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
The Longhorns (10-1) won three matches at the event, including a five-setter over No. 16 Arizona.
“It’s great that we went 3-0. Three matches in 24 hours is asking a lot. Arizona and New Mexico State both played really well.” Texas coach Jerritt Elliot said. “Now we can go back and get ready to play for another Big 12 championship.”
Amy Neal led the Longhorns with 16 kills.
