Over the weekend, the Texas Longhorns hosted numerous key prospects and potential targets during the Heat Wave recruiting event, arguably the most important of the summer. One of the recruits in attendance was Cedar Hill offensive tackle Courtland Ford:
A 6’6, 305-pounder, Ford committed to LSU last November after an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge for the Alabama game. Two weeks ago, however, Ford opted to re-open his recruitment, which could give Texas an opportunity to become a legitimate contender for his services if position coach Herb Hand decides to extend an offer.
The offer hasn’t come yet, but it certainly could happen in the near future, as Ford intends to make another visit to Austin before preseason camp begins for his senior season:
