AUSTIN, Texas –It was a record-setting Friday for Texas Track & Field at the NCAA West Preliminaries in Sacramento, Calif. as a long-standing school-record went down and eight more Longhorns punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships. That increases the total number of Longhorn qualifiers for the NCAA Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin (June 5-8) to 11 with one day of competition remaining. The NCAA West Preliminaries field features the top 48 qualifiers from the West Region of the country with the top 12 finishers advancing to the National Championship.
