The Texas Longhorns and Providence Friars will begin a home-and-home series next season, according to a report from FanRag Sports Jon Rothstein.
Per the report, the Longhorns will host the front end of the series on Dec. 21, although the exact time of the matchup is yet to be announced. The series will then travel to Providence for the 2019-20 season.
Texas and Providence have met five times before, with the Longhorns holding the all-time series edge, 3-2. Texas has won each of the previous two meetings, with the most recent being a controversial 79-77 overtime victory on the road in 2004.
