Texas tight end signee Reese Leitao received some positive news Tuesday morning.
A Tulsa judge reduced Leitao's felony drug charge to a misdemeanor, according to HornsDigest. Leitao was arrested on felony drug possession charges in February after getting caught on school grounds with Xanax, according to police.
While Leitao will avoid a felony, his future at Texas remains uncertain. Head coach Tom Herman said in a statement Tuesday he's yet to make a decision on the tight end's status.
"We're aware of the recent proceedings regarding Reese Leitao and are gathering facts," Herman said.
