After suffering an ankle injury late in the first half, Texas Longhorns tight end Cade Brewer has officially been ruled out and won’t return against the TCU Horned Frogs, the school announced.
Brewer suffered the ankle injury while blocking on a bubble screen play for Devin Duvernay.
In Brewer’s place, true freshman Jared Wiley saw the field for the fifth time this season. Wiley will likely split reps with redshirt sophomore Reese Leitao throughout the second half.
