With the 2019 season just days away, yet another key piece of the Texas Longhorns projected starting cast is now working through an injury, as junior tight end Cade Brewer suffered a concussion in practice on Tuesday and has entered the concussion protocol, the school announced on Thursday.

“He will continue to be treated and evaluated and will return to action when he is cleared,” the school said in the release.

Brewer now joins other projected starters safety Caden Sterns (ankle), running back Keaontay Ingram (knee), center Zach Shackelford (knee), and wide receiver Brennan Eagles (elbow) on the injury list.
