Despite a late-inning rally in the Knoxville Super Regional on May 26, No. 13 Texas softball and head coach Mike White ultimately wound up falling short of the No. 4 Tennessee Lady Volunteers by a score of 5-2. Texas and starting pitcher Mac Morgan found themselves behind the eight ball early in this game, falling behind by a score of 4-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Tennessee put up four runs in the bottom of the second inning on the Longhorns, three of which came via a three-run shot to left field from third baseman Zaida Puni.
