For the second time in as many days, No. 13 Texas softball downed the rival Texas A&M Aggies in the Austin Regional. Texas and head coach Mike White cruised past the Aggies in the final of the Austin Regional on May 21, to the tune of a comfortable 11-5 win.
Texas will advance to the Super Regionals with this win over Texas A&M on the afternoon of May 21. This is the fourth year in a row that the Longhorns will advance to the Super Regionals. And if Texas advances past the Super Regionals next week, it will mark the second year in a row that it makes it to Oklahoma City, OK, for the Women’s College World Series.
