Texas is doing everything it can to find some immediate help up front.
And that includes filling up recruits' mailboxes. Tom Herman and his staff sent junior college defensive end Jermaine Johnson more than 20 hand written letters.
Johnson picked up an offer from Texas earlier this month and is expected to make a visit to Austin at some point this summer.
Along with Texas, Johnson holds offers from Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, UCLA, Utah and others.
Johnson has three years to play two and will be eligible immediately upon graduation in December.
