Texas Longhorns freshman Caden Sterns has started to receive treatment and rehabilitate from the lower leg injury that caused him to leave the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday at the end of the first half.

A recent MRI was negative, the school revealed on Tuesday, so Sterns is expected to be available for the Sugar Bowl against Georgia on January 1 in New Orleans.

After the game on Saturday, senior defensive end Breckyn Hager suffered a cut to his hand in an accident, but he’s also expected to be available for the Sugar Bowl.
