Texas S Brandon Jones undergoing evaluation for injury

The injury news just keeps coming for the Texas Longhorns, as sophomore safety Brandon Jones left bowl practice with an undisclosed injury and is undergoing evaluation by the program.

Jones suffered a neck injury late in the year that caused him to miss the game against Texas Tech, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether his latest injury was related.

A sophomore from Nacogdoches who was rated as the nation’s No. 1 safety in the 2016 recruiting class, Jones started 11 games in 2017 and finished with 59 tackles, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, one pass broken up, and one forced fumble.
