On Tuesday, the Texas Longhorns released the depth chart for Saturday’s home game against the TCU Horned Frogs.
There was only one change — junior wide receiver Brennan Eagles is now the starter at the X position over graduate transfer Tarik Black.
Following a disappointing preseason camp and a performance against UTEP that included several plays during which Eagles was not on the same page as senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger, Eagles bounced back against Texas Tech last weekend. Three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown weren’t huge numbers, but he made plays when the game was on the line, scoring a 12-yard touchdown to pull Texas within eight late in the fourth quarter and catching the two-point conversion to send the game into overtime.
