The extra week to heal wasn’t enough for Texas Longhorns junior running back Keaontay Ingram to recover enough from his high ankle sprain to face off against the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
On Monday, head coach Tom Herman listed Ingram as questionable for the big game, but on Friday morning, he told Longhorn Network that Ingram will not appear against the Cyclones.
The 6’0, 222-pounder suffered the injury early in the game against Oklahoma State last month and scored his only rushing touchdown of the season on the next play, but then left and did not return.
