After suiting up for a scrimmage, two Texas Longhorns starters may be set to miss some time as the 2019 season inches nearer.
Texas head coach Tom Herman met with the media on Sunday following the first scrimmage of preseason camp, and noted that sophomore running back Keaontay Ingram and sophomore safety Caden Sterns each suffered injuries, per multiple reports.
Ingram tweaked his knee, while Sterns rolled his ankle, per Herman, though an official diagnosis is not yet known.
Depending on how much time Ingram may miss, depth in Stan Drayton’s running back room could become an issue in short order, as senior Kirk Johnson is also sidelined for up to six weeks with shoulder injury.
