After paving the way for the Texas Longhorns 48-45 Red River Showdown win over the Oklahoma Sooners Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger has earned honors as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Cameron Dicker was recognized as Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
In what amounted to arguably the best performance of his Longhorn career, Ehlinger completed 24-of-35 attempts for 314 yards and two touchdowns, and added rushed 19 times to add another 72 yards and three touchdowns with his legs.
Ehlinger also hauled in one reception for eight yards, bringing his total offensive contributions on the afternoon to 394 yards.
