AUSTIN -- Texas star quarterback Sam Ehlinger stood by his profound tweets from last week that advocated for college athletes to be compensated, stating Wednesday "I'm always gonna stand for what I believe in."
Ehlinger tweeted a brief thread on March 7, comparing college athletics to "a full-time unpaid internship" while backing a bill recently proposed by U.S. Rep. Mark Walker that supports NCAA athletes being able to profit off the use of their likeness, name and image.
On Wednesday, following the Longhorns' third practice of spring camp, Ehlinger was asked about his tweets and if he plans on continuing to express his voice.
