Sunday’s practice for the Texas Longhorns in preparation to face the Baylor Bears in Waco next weekend did not include three key starters.
The school revealed that freshman quarterback Sam Ehlinger and sophomore center Zach Shackelford both missed practice as a result of head injuries that occurred during Saturday’s game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Another starter, redshirt freshman wide receiver Reggie Hemphill-Mapps, also missed practice after sustaining a knee injury that kept him out for the second half against the Cowboys.
The new injury news compounds the problems for the ‘Horns — the team has already been without quarterback Shane Buechele for multiple games this season, while numerous offensive linemen have also suffered injuries.
