Another player could depart from the Texas Longhorns program, as multiple outlets reported on Tuesday that freshman quarterback Ja’Quinden Jackson has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6’2, 232-pounder was part of a two-man quarterback class for the Longhorns in the 2020 cycle as Jackson joined former Lake Travis standout Hudson Card. Considered a consensus four-star prospect, Jackson was ranked as a top-100 prospect and the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
A three-year starter at Duncanville, Jackson led the Panthers to two straight title games, but did not play for Texas as he recovered from a knee injury that he suffered as a senior.
