Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong rewarded another player for standing out in his meritocracy, as junior wide receiver Ty Templin received a hard-earned scholarship on Tuesday evening.
Last season, safety Dylan Haines went from a walk on at the start of fall camp to a scholarship athlete to the team's starting safety and leader in interceptions. While Templin's story won't likely feature such incredible success in 2015, the 6'0, 192-pounder did make the team's first depth chart as the third-string Z receiver behind freshman John Burt and sophomore Dorian Leonard.
