AUSTIN -- Entering the Longhorns' 31-16 win over No. 17 TCU on Saturday, Texas freshman running back Keaontay Ingram was already battling one injury. After the game, he was left to deal with a second one.
Texas coach Tom Herman announced afterward that Ingram sustained a hip pointer in the first half. Ingram left for the locker room briefly to be treated but then eventually returned.
"We don't think it will be anything long-term," Herman said of the injury.
Ingram, who has shown promise in the backfield, has already been banged up early in the season.
