The special plays part of the Texas offense continued to get a workout Saturday in the 48-45 win over Oklahoma.
Receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey took a direct snap and threw a 2-yard jump pass to Collin Johnson for Texas’ first touchdown. Later in the first half, he connected with quarterback Sam Ehlinger after taking an handoff for an 8-yard gain to set up Ehlinger’s 9-yard touchdown run on the next play.
Ehlinger now has four receptions this season and six for his two-year career off special plays.
Rivalry record: Kyler Murray’s 77-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Brown in the third quarter stands as Oklahoma’s longest pass play ever against Texas.
