Texas-OU Most Watched Game of the Week

Texas-OU was the strongest pull on the best Saturday of televised college football this season. The Red River Shootout garnered 7.3 million viewers Saturday morning. ESPN’s primetime telecast of LSU-Florida was next with 6.4 million. The Alabama-A&M game on CBS was 3rd in viewership with 6.1 million.

The quality of the matchups shows up in the ratings as six games had audiences of over 3 million and a total of ten games pulled at least 1 million viewers.

I mentioned in an earlier post that Texas-OU results over the past decade were a factor in Fox committing more quality games to the 11:00 am central time slot.
