Texas OT Connor Williams won’t have surgery on injured knee

A Texas Longhorns offensive line currently missing two starters received some good news on Monday when head coach Tom Herman announced at his Monday press conference that junior left tackle Connor Williams won’t have surgery on his injured left knee.

In taking a conservative treatment approach, Herman said that after a discussion of treatment options, the All-American will employ a non-surgical approach as he rehabs his sprained MCL. Williams also suffered a torn meniscus and sprained PCL when he was injured against USC.

Herman said he was “excited” about the positive diagnosis for his best offensive lineman and said that he will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks.
