The verbal pledge of Houston North Forest offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd to the Texas Longhorns remains intact, officially, but also remains tenuous, as the Georgia Bulldogs hosted the consensus four-star prospect for an official visit over the weekend:
According to multiple reports, Shepherd also took an official visit to Alabama. The Horns are set to get the final word with the 6’6, 327-pounder, as he’s scheduled to take his official visit to Austin this weekend.
So, with National Signing Day looming in less than 10 days, Shepherd has taken multiple visits to other programs, including Texas A&M, and removed all evidence of his pledge to Texas from his Twitter bio.
