The Texas Longhorns are in pursuit of another player in the NCAA transfer portal, extending an offer to Tulsa Golden Hurricane graduate transfer cornerback Akayleb Evans on Tuesday evening.
A 6’2, 188-pounder with two years of eligibility remaining, Evans holds offers from a number of other programs, including Kansas State, Louisville, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon State, SMU, TCU, Washington State, and West Virginia.
A consensus two-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting class out of McKinney, Evans did hold Power Five offers from Kansas and Iowa State when he signed with Tulsa.
