Cedar Ridge’s Jaylen Ellis, Midlothian Heritage’s Langston Anderson and Odessa Permian’s Peyton Powell all received offers from the Texas Longhorns Saturday, as Texas looks to capitalize on the momentum of three big commitments in two days.
After missing on in-state star Garrett Wilson and reportedly losing ground with Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins, wide receiver is quickly becoming an area of need for the Longhorns in the 2019 class.
Ellis, who is currently committed to the Baylor Bears, gave his pledge to the Bears in June of 2017, the same day he received his first Division 1 offer.
