Texas offers JUCO OT Mikey Grandy

On Monday, the Texas Longhorns extended an offer to College of San Mateo offensive tackle Mikey Grandy:

The 6’5, 315-pounder was a full qualifier out of high school who signed with San Jose State, but eventually opted to go to junior college instead. When he signed with the Spartans in 2016, he was ranked as a consensus three-star prospect and the No. 106 offensive tackle nationally.

Grandy also holds offers from Fresno State, Hawaii, and Louisville.

Since it appears that Grandy did not play at College of San Mateo in 2016, he has four years to complete three seasons of eligibility and could be a midyear enrollee since he qualified out of high school.
