A longtime Oklahoma Sooners pledge is now a Texas Longhorns target, as 2020 Denton Ryan athlete Drew Sanders picked up an offer from the Horns on Thursday:
The 6’5, 211-pounder, who has been committed to the Sooners since late 2017, announced the offer after Longhorns head coach visited Denton Ryan, where former Texas fullback Alex De La Torre is an assistant coach.
At Ryan, Sanders is a dual-threat quarterback, but he projects at the flex tight end position that Oklahoma has used so effectively in recent seasons — Mark Andrews and Grant Calcaterra have both had tremendous success there.
