On Monday evening, the Texas Longhorns extended an offer to Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva weak-side defensive end/outside linebacker Rian Davis:
In 2016, the 6’3, 225-pounder was playing inside linebacker at Clear Lake in Houston before making the move to Florida. The fact that Davis is from the state and more familiar with the Longhorns program that someone who grew up in Florida should help Texas become a factor in his recruitment.
Over recent days, Davis has picked up offers Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, and Ohio State in addition to Texas. All told, the consensus three-star prospect has more than 25 offers now.
