The Texas Longhorns are no longer in the mix with one of the nation’s more talented quarterbacks.
On Wednesday evening, four-star Fort Bend Marshall dual-threat quarterback Malik Hornsby dropped a list of his top eight schools that he’ll be focusing on throughout the rest of his recruitment. Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Houston, North Carolina, Oregon, SMU, and Texas A&M were all named in Hornsby’s list.
Unfortunately for the Longhorns, they didn’t make the cut.
Hornsby received an offer from the Longhorns mid-May of last year and had high interest in them when he first began to receive attention on the recruiting trail.
