When the Texas Longhorns coaching staff feels that you’re a quality fit for the program, they don’t have an issue with a prospect pulling the trigger.
Three-star defensive back Tyler Owens was a player who caught the staff’s eye and was presented with an offer at the end of last month while on campus for the Stars at Night event.
“It was pretty live,” Owens told Burnt Orange Nation. “I had couple of my friends from my 7on7 team there with me, and we cut up out there.”
The Plano East standout has been receiving an extensive amount of attention from the programs, with offers stemming from schools such Baylor, Houston, Illinois, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, and UCLA, among others.
