Austin, Texas – This season's week two game Texas and LSU on Sept. 7 in Austin will air on ABC's Saturday Night Football (SNF) at 6:30 p.m. (CT), the network announced Wednesday.
It will be the first time since 2013 that the Longhorns have hosted ABC's premier Saturday College Football broadcast since the network featured the Kansas State game that season.
Texas and LSU have met 17 times on the football field with the Longhorns holding a 9-7-1 advantage. The first meeting, a 14-0 LSU win, came in 1896 in Baton Rouge. The last two matchups were in the Cotton Bowl with the most recent being a 35-20 Longhorns win at the 2003 Cotton Bowl following the 2002 season.
