The late Frank Denius ranks among the most highly decorated veterans of World War II. He earned four Silver Stars and two Purple Hearts for heroic leadership during the D-Day invasion.
Denius' decision to enroll at The University of Texas as a GI is one that will forever pay dividends on the Forty Acres. He earned two degrees in business and law, as well as developed a reputation as one of Texas' premier lawyers and civic leaders.
He served Austin as an attorney through his private law practice since the mid-1970s. As an individual and through his family foundation — The Cain Foundation — his generosity spans the campus.
