Texas looking to add JUCO product Caleb Johnson as final piece of excellent LB class

With starting linebackers Gary Johnson and Anthony Wheeler both set to graduate after this season, the pressure was on Texas Longhorns defensive coordinator Todd Orlando to land a large linebacker class in the 2019 cycle while finding some potential instant-impact recruits.

Consider it mission (nearly) accomplished.

Orlando has already landed three commitments, including one from the nation’s No. 55 player and No. 4 outside linebacker, Westlake (Cali.) Westlake Village product De’Gabriel Floyd.

Now it’s all about finishing with the final major target — Caleb Johnson of Fullerton College.
