Texas freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers was knocked out of Saturday's game against No. 1 Alabama with an apparent left shoulder injury after being driven into the ground on a tackle by the Crimson Tide's Dallas Turner.
Ewers did not return for the remainder of the first half and his status for the remainder of the game has yet to be determined.
"Not sure yet," Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said at the end of the first half about the possibility of Ewers' return.
Turner was flagged for roughing the passer after landing on Ewers on the first-quarter play, with the official saying it was because he drove Ewers into the turf.
