2015 Recap: Then-junior Tyrone Swoopes began the season as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback. But he put together a poor performance in Texas’ season-opening 38-3 loss to Notre Dame, where he completed 7-of-22 passes for 93 yards. Swoopes was replaced by then-redshirt freshman Jerrod Heard, who started 10 games for the Longhorns. Heard had an up-and-down season as he led Texas to an upset win over Oklahoma, but started in six of the team’s seven losses.
