AUSTIN — Texas coach Charlie Strong said one of his top priorities this season is adding depth on the offensive line. Now he needs a little more of it.
Jake Raulerson, a third-year sophomore from Celina who played a limited role this season but had a chance to win the starting center job next year, announced Thursday via Twitter that he intends to transfer. Raulerson said he’s on track to graduate from UT’s business school in May, which would allow him to become eligible to play at another program immediately.
Raulerson was one of the stars of Mack Brown’s final recruiting class, a 15-man 2013 haul of which only six players remain at UT, with only two (Naashon Hughes and Kent Perkins) projected as starters next year.
