Texas LB Malik Jefferson ruled out for rest of West Virginia game with head injury

Texas sophomore linebacker Malik Jefferson left Saturday's game with West Virginia with an undisclosed injury. The Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year appeared shaken up following a hit on a 3-yard run from Mountaineers running back Justin Crawford.

Jefferson entered the game coming off a big performance against Texas Tech. The Poteet product racked up eight tackles and 1.5 sacks against the Red Raiders.

It's unclear whether Jefferson will return to the game.
