Texas Longhorns linebacker David Gbenda is returning to the Forty Acres for a sixth and final season in 2024, the Houston-area product announced on Tuesday, noting that his “job’s not finished.”

The fifth-year senior from Katy Cinco Ranch opted in for the extra year of eligibility remaining thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gbenda appeared in 47 games during his Longhorns career, including 11 starts with eight of those coming this season.
