One trip to the Forty Acres was all it took for Buford (Ga.) running back Derrian Brown to leave Austin as a Longhorn. On Sunday, after officially visiting Texas for the Longhorns 37-14 win over No. 22 USC, the four-star ball-carrier brought his recruitment to a close and committed to Texas, per a report from Rivals’ Chad Simmons.
“I just committed to Texas,” Brown told Simmons. “I had it planned to come in and commit. I just wanted to come and see the atmosphere.
”It was a great experience and I just committed to the coaches.
