For the second time in just six days, the Texas Longhorns have landed an elite-level talent out of Dallas. This time around, the commitment comes from Dallas Skyline receiver Quay Davis, whose pledge provides the first piece of Tom Herman’s 2021 class.
The four-star pass-catcher sides with Texas over 17 other offers, including invitations from Oregon, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, and Nebraska. Davis’ Texas offer came only months ago while he was in Austin for Junior Day, but throughout that short period of time, the Horns made enough of an impression on Davis and his family to earn his pledge.
