Texas' prowess in the NBA continues to grow. The Brooklyn Nets selected Longhorn center Jarrett Allen in the 2017 NBA draft Thursday evening with the 22nd overall pick. His selection marks the second time in three years a Texas player earned a spot in the draft's first round.
Allen declared for the NBA Draft in March after a standout freshman season in Austin. The Austin native averaged 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds as the Longhorns' top offensive option, throwing down some massive dunks along the way.
At 6-11 with a 7-5 wingspan, Allen brings big-time size to TEAM.
