It’s been 16 days since the Texas Longhorns held off the West Virginia Mountaineers at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, an unusual length of time off in an unusual year that just featured the season’s first postponed game for the Longhorns — Saturday’s planned road trip to Lawrence to face the Kansas Jayhawks.
The result is a rested and healthy Texas team with an injury report that “looks a lot better than it would have last year,” according to head coach Tom Herman on Monday.
The player most likely to miss the game is junior running back Keaontay Ingram, who suffered a high ankle sprain early in the game against Oklahoma State and hasn’t played since.
