As expected, Texas freshman center Jaxson Hayes is entering the NBA Draft.
Hayes made the announcement Thursday, and is projected as a lottery pick. The Big 12 freshman of the year averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2.22 blocks per game in his lone season with the Longhorns.
“First, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play this game I love so much,” Hayes said in a statement. “Next, I would like to thank my family, the entire Texas coaching staff and my teammates for helping me get to this point in my career.
