With the elevation of Andre Coleman to wide receivers coach and the departure of Larry Fedora to become the offensive coordinator for the Baylor Bears, the Texas Longhorns had several open positions on the support staff following the 2019 season.
One of those spots was filled by former Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback JW Walsh, who is now listed as an offensive analyst after spending the last three years as the running backs coach at Abilene Christian. After his playing career ended in 2015, Walsh spent the 2016 season as a graduate assistant at TCU.
