Longhorns head coach Tom Herman discussed the state of his program while on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Monday morning, delivering details on the recruiting trail Texas' quarterback battle and the possibility of renewing the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry.
Here are some highlights from Herman's interview.
A new rallying cry:
After an unsteady 2017 campaign, Herman has found a new mantra for the Longhorns' upcoming season: develop and finish. The Longhorns leader has chosen those words as the theme for Texas' offseason, looking to improve on the school's first winning season since 2013.
"Develop, because we're so young, there were games (last year when) we started four or five true freshmen on offense," Herman said.
