AUSTIN -- Texas coach Tom Herman gave a slew of injury updates and dished his take on the NCAA's new redshirt rule, which is already having an impact on college football, following the Longhorns' practice on Thursday.
Freshman running back Keaontay Ingram, who suffered a hip pointer during limited action in last week's win over TCU, "progressed well throughout the week" and will play on Saturday against Kansas State, per Herman. Junior center Zach Shackelford, who's missed Texas' last three games with a sprained foot, will also play against Kansas State. Herman said it hasn't been decided yet if Shackelford will start, though.
