AUSTIN, Texas — A massive three-point by Texas Longhorns sophomore guard Jase Febres and two free throws from sophomore guard Matt Coleman and freshman forward Jaxson Hayes were enough for the Horns to hold off the No. 20 Oklahoma Sooners at the Erwin Center on Saturday.
The basket by Febres with 32 seconds remaining broke an 0-for-5 start from beyond the arc and Oklahoma able to make three three-point attempts in the closing second as Texas broke a three-game losing streak in conference play while adding another win against a ranked opponent to the resume.
